The classic poker game, as seen on TV, Texas Hold’em Poker tournaments are an ever popular way to bring people together to network. In Texas Hold’em each player will receive two cards face-down. Five cards are dealt face-up in the centre of the table. These cards are called ‘community' cards and are used by all players. By using the two cards in their hands - hole cards - plus any of the three of the five community cards, each player will try to make the best possible five-card hand.
Poker Table Information
Our full-size 8ft x 4ft, free-standing poker tables are a traditional kidney shape. Our tables can accommodate up to ten players plus a croupier at one time, making them far better value for your event and we hold both traditional green cloths plus red and blue and are finished in sophisticated black padded surrounds, adding a stylish look to your event.
Texas Hold’em Rules
Texas Hold’em is an intricate game with many rules but it is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. Aces count as high or low.
The aim of the game is for the players to win ‘the pot’ - the money staked - by having the highest ranked hand.
During a round of betting a player may take one of four actions:
Check - no bet just tap the table
Call - a bet matching the preceding bet
Raise - a bet higher than the preceding bet
Fold - withdraw from the betting, losing any money already staked.
We will provide an introductory poker lesson before a tournament, along with printed ‘hands sheets’ for your guests. As always, our friendly trained croupiers will assist your guests during play and give them hints and tips.
